Estimates and pricing

Prices shown on this site, including "from" prices, are starting points for planning and are not quotes or offers. The final price depends on the conditions at your property, materials, permits and the scope of work, and is given in a written estimate before work begins. Estimates are free. An estimate becomes binding only when it is in writing and you accept it.

Permits and code

We handle permits for work that requires them and, after the work is completed, coordinate with you and the permit office to set up the inspection. Permit requirements and fees are set by local authorities and may change. The permit office details on this site are for reference, and we confirm them for each job.

Calculators and general information

The calculators, tables, blog posts and guides on this site are for general information and planning. They are based on published National Electrical Code tables and common practice, but code editions and local amendments differ, and every property is different. They are not engineering advice, a code review or a substitute for a licensed electrician, the code book or your local inspector. Do not attempt electrical work unless you are qualified. Electrical work can cause shock, fire and death. For emergencies, call 911.

No contractor relationship from the site alone

Using this site, sending a message or receiving a reply does not create a contract for electrical work. A contract exists only when we both agree in writing.

Your submissions

When you send us a message, photos or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and allow us to use it to respond to you and perform the work. We do not publish your photos or name without your permission.
